Mexico was wet....

read into that what you'd like...we did go to Chichin Itza tho, which is one of the seven wonders of the world. It was awe inspiring and amazing and wet. We also spent two days in Isla Mujeres, one magical hot day and one really WET one. Torrentially wet.

AND

We got our wedding photos back and my photographer took some amazing shots of my car. Alas I am retiring my cheeze-it Dean icon for one of the Ghost.


The first day at Isla Mujeres was paradise

I did alot of this when the weather permitted

Chichen Itza was WOW

I lost my VERY PRICEY prescription Ralph Lauren sunglass in the surf...I also lost my bottoms. No Joke.
my repacement shade cost 100 pesos...we took alot and I mean ALOT of selfies... also I cut my hair into a faux hawk.


although we had days that were sunny and bright most days looked like this....

and this...seriously I'm blowing away

I had my first coconut spiked with rum and lime of course :)
and ceviche with shrip and conch and octopus, it was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten.
and we went to a ceynote...it's a giant sinkhole filled with fresh water and these vines hang down in and it's the most amazing place I've ever swam...my water camera chose then to die a slow death.

and lastly my favorite of our wedding photos...It's right after the ceremony walking back, I just think the colors are so lovely and it's natural and just ugh.

Wow the rain looks pretty scary. But still a few days of snatched sun in exotic lands is always fun. And your wedding pictures turned out AWESOME. Loved your dresses.
Be careful of the cheap sunglasses though. Word is most of them have no UV protection. : (

The rain was freaking nuts, water flooding the streets, sewage....rough seas and me on the ferry *barf*.
The wedding pictures, I know, they're fantastic.
Don't worry, my eyes are safe. I have PLENTY of backups at home, I don't know what made me only bring one pair on the honeymoon.

I'm sorry it rained for much of your trip, but it sounds like you were able to have a great time anyway!! Aren't Mayan ruins AMAZING??? I went to Uxmal a couple of years ago, and couldn't believe how incredible everything was in person.

Hmmmm, I bet the top ledge was probably 20feet, so I was down a couple of steps. EEEEEEEK I stood and stared for a long time, I just couldn't NOT do it, it was such a once in a lifetime thing.

my nose ring is NOT new, I've been wearing the exact same hoop in my nose since 1989? It used to be quite the "thing" and by thing I mean people looked at me like I was crazy, and pointed, and whispered things as I walked by them, and asked me weird questions. It funny that it's so common now. I had it pierced at a hair salon with the ear piercing gun. OUCH!!!! and before there was safe body jewelry, I used to wear a diamond earring in it and once woke up with the back missing, I had sucked it up while I was sleeping, I could feel it in my nasal cavity but they couldn't get it out at the ER. Option 1 - eventually swallowed and left my body. Option 2 - breathed it in and that little earring back may someday clog something important and kill me. super sexy!!!
