wetsammy to do a banner for her story Cracked Cement Pond. Could not have been happier!!!!!!

Dean stood with his hands on his hips at the side of the cracked cement pond that passed for a pool in their current motel. It wasn't much but it was more than they usually got from the dives they stayed at.

so, of course I thought I should stitch some and I did, the indecision came when I started messing with it and adding a background and some photo effects. I figured I sould go grungy and dirty and bad oh so wrong and so on the first attempt I added a bunch of shadow and darkened it up, I liked what it did to the stitching and I didn't even mind that you could see the background threads, I loved the texture of the fabric showing but I thought
Oh, What the Hell, let's try it again.

the second time I cleaned up the stitching and used a pic with a high flash and really whitened it out. I used a super clean blue pool. I like the effects but it still wasn't right.

....and THIRD TIME'S A CHARM as far as I'm concerned. I used that same clean stitched high flash photo and wet back to my original grittier background, and then I filtered it to look VERY nighttime, very dark and voyueristic and when I added that tile I was like LIGHTBULB moment. YAY!!!! The stitching is less prominent but I think it just works.

funny enough, usually it's font that I frig around with forever but not this time, the font was easy :)

#86. The Impala birthday cake!!!! I find it ridiculously sweet that my sister-inlaw googled and actually cared enough to try and do this for me. She did a pretty good job all things considered ♥ It goes without saying that there is endless taunting from at least 2 families members about how Dean isn't even real. I barely care. I'm happy just to hear his name :) They're just jealous that there is NOTHING they love that much.

I think I remember once at a convention someone teasing them about making an episode where all they do is exchange looks with each other and I believe it was Richard who was like "oh, that already exists, fans have made that". Cracks me up. Well this is what I thought of when he said that.

If any of you haven't seen this video please please please, I beg you, watch it, it's so funny and wonderful and amazing what this fandom can do. 96. Dean/Jo My Skin....song by Natalie Merchant. Vid by ChtiteParisienne75. Alright I make it no secret that I have a soft spot for one Jo Harvelle and can't help the Dean/Jo shipping that I do. This video is an ode to Jo and her heroic but untimely death featuring a song that is so spot on for her I think Natalie Merchant had a precognitive dream and wrote it about her. The vidder did a great job of moving from b & w to this really great subltle coloring and also I find I'm a sucker for the dialogue voice over (and this one is all echo-y and forboding). I did say I was focusing on Sam and Dean but this will be my only departure, CAUSE JO!!!

I feel amazing that I've already made it into the 80's :) Low expectations.

Everytime I hear Dean say "Is it true? Did I break the first seal" my heart just cracks open and bleeds for that boy. If there is a more heartbreaking accurate portrayal of the hero/martyr Dean Winchester I dare you to post it.

OK. I'm going to go completely fucking crazy this week and give you a top 10 Sam/Dean SPN fanvids list. I'll save my personal wackadoo for later and give you guys a break. This is completely opinion and based on nothing other than the counter on my ipod. SPN only, I'll save J2 for a different time. This is REALLY easy for me as I have some crystal clear favorites, I can't help it. You'll see a trend that it's a bunch of sappy heartbreaking wincesty early season stuff. I can't help what does it for me. I guess I go to my vids when I need a dose of that epic love story stuff ♥ But first these three.....

97. My favorite Sam/Dean video hands down. I know you'd think I'd save it for the end but no, I'm coming out swinging here. If my ipod decided to start to eat itself from the inside out I would hope it would save this video for last! It only has like 3,000 views and half of them are probably mine, I'm embarrassed for myself quite frankly. This IS NOT one of those sappy epic love story vids *SHOCK*, but it is one that I have watched for sheer pleasure so many times.

So these next two are a pair. Because this is a Season 5 finale reaction vid. This song, this vid, this is how I dealt with that stupid heartbreaking finale. It was a hard time in my life in general and Kripke's flipping plot was NOT helping things. It's straight forward, not much to say, but this song fits SO SO well Dean's state after Sam went to hell it's like Alanis wrote it for him. I feel this way about alot of songs (I know everything isn't about Sam & Dean..or is it?) but sometimes for me it is. I still shed a tear EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear this song in the car (because I have a lot of mixed tapes that this will pop up on, I wallow a lot). features include childhood flashbacks that will hurt, that Dean Bobby moment in the junkyard that will tear your heart out, brotherly flashbacks that will remind you of everything Dean has lost, and stargazing that I think is supposed to give a moment of hope but really takes the heart you have laying on the floor and throws it in a blender to become a smoothie.

95. So I'm dead. And this is heaven....song is Blue Skies by Strays Don't Sleep and the vidder is you make me feel ♥.
This is a Season 6 Episode 1 reaction vid. GUH. You will see that I must love to have my heart broken into tiny little bitty pieces. But sometimes wallowing in it is all I can do. These two episodes are just a mishmosh of terrible emotions for me that I don't think I've ever gotten over. It took a long time for me to accept that souless sam plot (well it took some hot porn is what it took) but it's always been a challenge for me to embrace all that Dean pain. These two videos both helped create and fix it. LOL. Features include voice over BECAUSE I AM A SUCKER FOR THE VOICE OVER EFFECT!!!! black and white... and tears (my tears of course) but lots of them, just know they are there.

98.BACON .... since it has already come up in conversation today, I give you bacon. This is a bit of a story but the long and short of it is that I once "innocently" read a fic (and I'm so sorry I can't link you) where Sam walks in on Dean letting Bobby's dog give him a pretty thorough tongue bath. Dean's a bit embarrassed, Sam's a bit turned on and they get rid of the dog and Sam happily takes over "blowing" Dean's mind.

At the very end of the fic Sam looks at Dean questioningly and licking his lips "Bacon?" and of course Dean replies with (and I'm ad-libbing here) "how else do you think I got him intrested in doing that?"

LOL forever !!!! I laughed at the sight or thought of bacon for months. It is now a common thing I say if I taste something funny or can't figure out a flavor. Bacon can no longer be taken seriously in my home. The Christmas before last my honey gave me a bacon wallet. Long live Dean with his Bacon flavored cock.

99. Mr. T key chain ....as appearing in the fic "words for snow" by wanttobeatree. Dean gives Sam a Mr. T key chain that voiceless Sam then uses to spout off catch phrases to his brother throughout the fic. Not even being a fan of the A Team it still delighted me to no end to have "I pity the fool" and "Don't gimme no backtalk, sucka" aimed at Dean in the form of this little toy. Also this story ends in the sweetest PG wincest ever.

It's things like this that just live in my brain forever!!!!

In the fashion of the "List" going around of Supernatural objects....you know the one don't make me link it...I realized that as much as I love the Impala and the Samulet and Dean's jackets...I have a special place in my heart for some things that are purely fandom related and now affect my everyday life in ways that are sort of mind blowing when I really think about them. It is a testament to the creativity and impact that all of you (and assorted others in fandom who are not part of this "you" of which I speak cause they are not reading my silly little post) have on me.

I see some on my flist (

locknkey) doing the 100 bloggy thingy and I thought I would love to do that, so this is my homage to it, cause really doing it would involve commitment and linking and all kids of other things I struggle with so just take it for what is it and I will attempt to do this 100 times. Cause I KNOW I CAN name 100 fandom things that I love.

This year I decided to try something different. As always I based my choice on "INSPIRATION"!!! :)
This is how I came to be paired with the sweet and patient

t_eyla who allowed me pretty much free reign on
all my wacky and flip floppy ideas and I ventured out of my box to art for a sweet high school trope, a Dean/Cas fic called
Hamburger Is Not A German Word.

I quickly envisioned a mixed media approach and knew it would work well with color and lend itself to fun and creativity.
My author was very patient with me thankfully, you all know of course that I have a sweet new baby girl at home
and am just getting used to motherhood again. It doesn't lend itself to alot of ME time to say the least.

In the end I started thinking about a shadow box, kind of a 3D travel postcard. It was fun. I used an
antique map of the German city Freising to help with the buildings, cut everything out of watercolor paper and
painted it, pencils, markers, school glue, hot glue, string, tape....all the usual suspects for an elementary
school childs project :)))) I cut up a little glittery hat from a bachelorette party to make the fireworks (yes, those are fireworks)
and tried assorted lighting techniques with mini mag lights.
